UMID Card PVC Card: what you get

A PVC print of your UMID card (the Indian Railways Unique Medical Identification card, also called the UMID railway health card), made from the file you upload. We print it as it is. We do not edit, correct or change any detail. We are not Indian Railways and we do not issue or change UMID cards. This is a convenience copy. Whether a railway health unit accepts a printed copy is for them to decide, so ask them first.

About the UMID card

According to Business Today (13 September 2024), UMID gives each railway medical beneficiary a distinct number as a permanent record. Each card has a web-enabled QR code and biometric identification, held in a centralised national database. It is for railway employees, pensioners and their dependents, and it confirms entitlement to free treatment at railway hospitals and at AIIMS. It also serves as an identity document at health units.

How to apply for a UMID

The report says you apply through the UMID web application at digitalir.in/umid or its mobile app. You register by choosing your beneficiary type and entering your PAN, date of birth and PF number, then verify your mobile number. After logging in with an OTP, you start a new application, add yourself and your family members, upload the documents and submit. We do not issue UMID cards or take UMID applications. Check the current process with your railway health unit.

Check these before you order

Read the beneficiary name and UMID number on your file against your original. We cannot correct a mistake after printing.
Upload the original file, not a photo of a screen. A PDF downloaded from the official portal prints sharpest.

How to order

Keep a clear file of your UMID card, for example the PDF or image from your UMID account.
Add this product to your cart and upload the file at checkout.
We print your card, which usually takes about 72 hours. We try to dispatch it on the same day printing is finished, but the exact dispatch time depends on printing. We ship by Speed Post. At dispatch we send the tracking number and photos of your card to your WhatsApp number.

Payment is online only. We do not offer cash on delivery. Because every card is printed for you, orders can be cancelled only before printing starts. Read our return, refund and cancellation policy. If your card arrives damaged or misprinted, contact us within 7 days with your order number and photos or an unboxing video, and we will reprint it for free.
