ABHA Health ID Card: what you get

A PVC print of your ABHA Health ID Card, made from the card file you upload. Your name, ABHA number and QR code are printed as they appear in your file. We print it as it is. We do not edit, correct or change any detail. We are not the ABDM or the National Health Authority, we do not create ABHA numbers and we do not change any health records. This is a convenience copy of your own card.

What an ABHA number is, and what it is not

ABHA stands for Ayushman Bharat Health Account. It is a 14-digit health ID issued under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). According to Ditto’s June 2026 explainer, it lets you link your medical records across providers, and your records are shared only with your consent. Creating one is free and open to any Indian resident.

It is not health insurance. The same explainer says an ABHA number pays nothing and gives no right to free treatment. The Ayushman Bharat card under PM-JAY is a different card, with its own eligibility rules. If you want that one, see our Ayushman Bharat PVC card.

How to get your ABHA card file

If you do not have an ABHA number yet, you can create one on the ABHA portal or in the ABHA app. As described by DT Next (August 2026) and Anantam IAS (September 2026):

• With Aadhaar: enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, give consent, enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile, and choose your ABHA address. Your 14-digit ABHA number is then created.
• With a driving licence: start on the portal, upload your licence, and save the enrolment number. You must then visit an ABDM-enabled health facility with your original licence for in-person verification.

Your ABHA address works like a username and ends in @abdm.

To download the card, log in at the ABHA portal with your ABHA number, ABHA address or mobile number, enter the OTP, and choose Download ABHA Card. In the ABHA app, open your profile and tap the download icon on the card. Menu names on government portals can change, so follow the wording on the screen.

Check these before you order

• Upload the card file you downloaded, not a photo of a screen. A flat file keeps the QR code sharp.
• Read your name and 14-digit ABHA number on the file against your original. We cannot correct a mistake after printing. If a detail is wrong, ask the ABHA portal or the facility that created your ABHA how to correct it, then download the card again.
• A printed card is a convenience copy. Hospitals and clinics decide what they accept, so ask before you rely on it.

How to order

1. Download your ABHA card as shown above.
2. Add this product to your cart and upload the file at checkout.
3. We print your card, which usually takes about 72 hours. We try to dispatch it on the same day printing is finished, but the exact dispatch time depends on printing. We ship by Speed Post. At dispatch we send the tracking number and photos of your card to your WhatsApp number.
