TNPDS Smart Ration Card / PVC Card / smart card ( Tamilnadu State Ration Card )

Tamil Nadu Smart Ration Card (TNPDS) PVC Card: what you get

A PVC print of your Tamil Nadu smart ration card, made from the file you upload. We print it as it is. We do not edit, correct or change any detail. We are not the food and civil supplies department and we do not issue or change documents. This is a convenience copy of your own smart ration card.

The TNPDS smart card on your phone

ClearTax (page updated 1 June 2025) describes the Tamil Nadu smart card as the digital version of the ration card, so you can show it on your phone instead of carrying the paper card. It says you can download your copy by logging in as a beneficiary with your registered mobile number and OTP, then using the Smart Card print option and saving the card as a PDF. It also says that after you edit your details or add a family member you should save the new PDF.

That is a third-party description, so follow the wording on the official TNPDS site, which can change.

Keep the file up to date

If a family member is added or a detail is edited after you saved your PDF, the card on the portal changes but your old file does not. Download the latest PDF before you order, because we print exactly what is in the file you upload.

Check these before you order

• Read the card number, the head of the family and the member names on your file against your original.
• Upload the PDF you saved, not a photo of a screen. A flat file keeps the QR code and small text sharp.
• A printed card is a convenience copy. Ask whoever needs to see it what they will accept, and keep the original or your digital copy as well.

How to order

1. Log in to the TNPDS site as a beneficiary and save your smart card as a PDF.
2. Add this product to your cart and upload the file at checkout.
3. We print your card, which usually takes about 72 hours. We try to dispatch it on the same day printing is finished, but the exact dispatch time depends on printing. We ship by Speed Post. At dispatch we send the tracking number and photos of your card to your WhatsApp number.
